Cares Community Outreach Hosts Summer Safety Bash with Law Enforcement and Community Partners in East Hills Community, Pittsburgh, PA

Cares Community Outreach (CCO), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, dedicated to creating a safer community, hosted a vibrant and educational Summer Safety Bash at East Hills Community in Pittsburgh on July 25th, 2024. This event, aligned with the mission and values of Valentis Group, CCO’s sister security company, brought together residents and community officials for a day of fun, learning, and safety awareness.

The Summer Safety Bash aimed to foster connections between community members and local officials while promoting safety and well-being. The event was filled with engaging activities for the youth, including inflatables, sidewalk chalk, and lively Kids Bop music, creating an atmosphere of joy and interaction.

A highlight of the day was the opportunity for residents, especially the youth, to interact with various community officials. Representatives from the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police Zone 5 command staff, SWAT (Special Weapons and Tactics), Bomb Squad, Pittsburgh EMS, Crisis Intervention Unit, Valentis Group security officers, and the beloved Valentis explosive detection dog, Koda, were present. These interactions provided invaluable insights into the roles and responsibilities of these crucial community protectors, fostering a sense of trust and cooperation.

In addition to the presence, community partners Garfield Jubilee, MAD DADS, and the Neighborhood Resilience Project played a significant role in the event's success. Their involvement underscored the collaborative spirit essential for building a safer and more connected community.
