Workplace Safety, Violence, and Preparedness

Our educational platform for company management and/or employees helps prepare and bring awareness in order to reduce exposure to claims arising from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) General Duty Clause. This clause specifically states, that Employers “Shall furnish to each of his employees employment and a place of employment, which are free from recognized hazards that are causing or are likely to cause death or serious physical harm to his employees..." Court rulings relative to liability lawsuits have shown that active shooter scenarios are considered a “recognizable hazard” to employees.

"The Active Assailant"

Valentis has developed a vital course, "The Active Assailant", which presents critical information in a lively seminar that is approximately three hours in length. This course addresses everything you need to know and consider in an active shooter scenario, or any other active assailant situation. Every organization is different from location, size, office set-up, so identifying your specific response plan can prove to be crucial in the event of an active assailant.

Valentis is currently the instructor for emergency preparedness and active assailant readiness to the Manufacturer & Business Association (Erie, PA) members and employees.
